Bethany Malik is a second-year law student at Campbell University School of Law, where she serves as a staff writer for the Campbell Law Observer, a research assistant to Dean DeStefano, and project manager for the Wills & Advanced Directives Pro Bono Project. She is the author of Will Power: AI’s Role in Estate Planning and studied abroad at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University.
Bethany earned her M.A. in Religious Studies from Duke University, where she wrote her thesis on The Destroying Angel, and her B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with honors. She also studied abroad in Sicily as part of the Contrada Agnese Project on ancient excavations.
Her professional experience includes working as a Summer Associate at McDougal & Hartzell, conducting legal research and drafting client documents, as well as serving as an Editorial Assistant at Wiley, where she managed the publication process for academic journals.
In her free time, Bethany enjoys learning Ancient Hebrew, baking sourdough, hiking in national parks, and gardening.
