Brendan Handford is a law student at Campbell University School of Law, where he is a member of the Campbell Law Innocence Project. He recently served as a legal extern with the North Carolina Center on Actual Innocence, assisting attorneys with post-conviction claims, evidence review, and legal research on firearm rights restoration.
Before law school, Brendan earned his B.S. in Communications with a minor in English from East Carolina University, following two associate degrees from Wake Technical Community College in Arts and Fire Protection Technology.
In addition to his legal studies, Brendan has built a distinguished career in public service. He is a Lieutenant with the Wake Forest Fire Department, where he has supervised emergency operations, led rescue efforts, and received numerous commendations, including four life-saving awards and a Silver Medal of Valor.
A North Carolina native, Brendan continues to serve his community through both his legal and firefighting work.
