RALEIGH—For the second straight year, Campbell Law’s Women in Law Student Organization will participate in the annual Gail Parkins Ovarian Cancer Walk and 5K Run. The event will occur at Sanderson High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Several members of the organization will be walking and running to raise money in support of ovarian cancer research at Duke University Medical Center.

While the Duke Ovarian Cancer Research Program is partially funded by the National Cancer Institute and other agencies, money raised at the annual ovarian awareness walk funds much-needed researchers and laboratory equipment. The program’s goal is to reduce ovarian cancer deaths through improvements in early detection, treatment, and prevention.

After raising over $1,000.00 in 2017, Women in Law increased its goal for 2018 to $1,500.00. If you are interested in supporting Women in Law’s effort with a tax deductible donation for this cause, please register to participate or make a donation at http://www.ovarianawareness.org/. or https://goo.gl/Z83uBg.
