Alexia Furlow is a former Campbell Law Observer Staff Writer and a December 2013 graduate of Campbell Law School. Alexia is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina. In 2011 Alexia graduated cum laude from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration and a minor in History. Alexia was the President of Campbell’s Black Law Student Association, an Honor Court Justice, and a member of Campbell Law Innocence Project. Alexia spent her summer of 2012 as a clerk in the Chambers of the Honorable Melinda Crouch of New Hanover County District Court. Alexia spent the summer of 2013 in Cape Town, South Africa where she studied abroad and interned at the Commission for Gender Equality. Once she returned from overseas, she externed at the Guilford County Public Defender’s Office in Greensboro, North Carolina.
